Mouse Drive is an analog-modelled distortion effect based on a diode-clipping distortion circuit, similar to the one found in the "RAT" distortion pedal. The effect uses a wave domain circuit-model to achieve its sound.

The Distortion knob controls the gain of the signal going into the diode clipper. The Tone knob controls the cutoff frequency of a lowpass filter that follows the diode clipper. Finally, the Volume knob controls the output level of the effect.
